Foo Fighters surprised fans in California with a secret show at the restaurant/club, Rock & Roll Pizza. The band played a 23-song set, some of which was caught by fans and is currently circulating the web.

Diners at the California gig were expecting a set from drummer Taylor Hawkins' cover outfit, Chevy Metal.

But, after paying just $10 for tickets, they were given the surprise of a lifetime when the Foos took the stage and blasted through a two hour set.

"First practice. Been too long. Look out, Mexico," wrote the Foos on their Facebook page after the show. The band's first official comeback gig is scheduled for Mexico City's 55,000-capacity Foro Sol Stadium on December 13.

Foo Fighters' last major gig was in New York in September 2012 at the Global Festival event.
