Dave Grohl has been confirmed for an appearance at an event benefiting Autism Speaks. The Foo Fighters fronter will play an acoustic only show at the third annual Blue Jean Ball, set for Oct. 24 at Boulevard 3 in Los Angeles.
"We are thrilled and grateful to have the talented Dave Grohl perform," said Autism Speaks President Liz Feld in a statement.
"Dave has been an advocate for all children and we are so thankful for his contribution to our cause." Tickets cost $300 and are on sale now at the Autism Speaks website.
In other Foos news, Grohl recently told Spin that the band might have something for its fans in 2014:
"Over the past year when I haven't been doing any Foo Fighters stuff, I've been loading up my cassette recorder at home with song ideas. Then I hit rewind, listened back and thought, 'Oh, my God, I have a record!' I'll just say it's pretty clear what we have, and it's exciting."
