Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge sat down with Classic Rock magazine to talk the band's upcoming album, Fortress.
Kennedy said that the two were able to hook up following a hiatus during which he was recording and touring with Slash, and Mark was busy with his project, Tremonti:
"Back in January of this year Mark and I decided to reconvene and start putting together this fourth Alter Bridge record, and . . . it was great."
Mark added: "Myles came down to my place in Florida and we spent about two and a half weeks putting together ideas."
"The dynamic between the two of us just felt very natural," continued Myles.
Myles concluded that Fortress was the "quickest" record he and Mark had ever put together--although one on which they took the most chances.
Fortress is due September 30.
