Foo Fighters fronter Dave Grohl says he has special release plans for the band's follow-up to the 2011 album Wasting Light.
"I have this idea that I don't think anyone's done before, and we're going to try it," he told Spin magazine. "We don't really want to give away our little secret yet, but it's happening. And we're pretty psyched about it."
Drummer Taylor Hawkins, while not dishing much else on the release strategy, indicated that Grohl had something different up his sleeve.
"Dave has his brain working overtime, like usual, and he's got a lot of great ideas, both musically and conceptually - none that I can speak of at this moment, but it's gonna be great," Hawkins said.
Grohl first let on to Billboard of his "crazy" plan at this year's SXSW fest.
