Three Days Grace are asking their fans to jump in and direct their newest video. The band and their label, RCA Records, have issued a call for videos for the single "Misery Loves My Company," for which fans are being asked to submit original vids.

According to the open call, they are looking for "animation, effects and filters, but they are not mandatory. Images or videos of the band or their likeness, animated or otherwise, should not appear in the video."

They added: "Other than that they are leaving the brief open to all styles, so check out the track and let your creativity loose!"

The winner of the contest will be awarded $5,000. The closing date for all submissions is July 22.

Transit of Venus, the band's latest album, was released in October.
