MGMT have announced an 18-date Spring-Summer tour of North America. The band will launch the tour on April 26th at State College, Pennsylvania, and continue through May 18th at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

Along the way, they'll hit a number of festivals including the Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio and Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware.

The tour will come just in time for the release of MGMT's third album, which has no title yet, but is slated for a June release. The album was recorded in upstate New York, with producer Dave Fridmann, who has produced records for the Flaming Lips and Mercury Rev.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT said of the new album:

"We're not trying to make music that everyone understands the first time they hear it."
