Alter Bridge have confirmed plans to begin work on a new album next month. Guitarist Mark Tremonti broke news of the plans while speaking with Billboard. He says that fans should expect a few surprises from the new material:
"[It's] real fun rock/metal. We want to not be predictable; we want to make it a little surprising, and we're having fun with it."
The news comes at a busy time for Mark, who has also recently been out on the road with his side project Tremonti:
"I feel like it's really gotten some traction now," he said of the self-titled band. "I think doubling back, doing a few tours on it now, the crowds are growing. People are becoming more familiar with the songs. It's exciting to see things spreading."
