Green Day will perform at this year's SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. The punk trio will also be on hand to screen two documentaries on March 15: Broadway Idiot, which chronicles the Broadway adaptation of the band's album, American Idiot; and, ¡Quatro!, a behind the scenes look at the band's recording of their recent album trilogy.

Green Day will then perform for Austin City Limits at the Moody Theatre. It'll be the first performance for the band since frontman Billie Jo Armstrong melted down on stage at the iHeartRadio event last year in Las Vegas.

After SXSW, the band heads out on a world tour. Many of the dates on that tour are makeup dates for shows that were canceled following Billie Jo's entrance into rehab last year.

FYI it is NOT their first performance since the "meltdown" aka the punkest display clearchannel could ever choke on. They performed in Pomona on the 10th, AZ, TX tonight, and then ACL.
