Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl says that he and the band will be back in the studio this week to start work on their next album. Grohl revealed the news while speaking with James Corden, the host of this year's Brit Awards.

Grohl stated "I return to Los Angeles tomorrow to start work on a Foo Fighters record."

However, he did not give a date on which he expects the album to be released, instead he said that fans will get to hear the new material "eventually."

The Foo fronter previously told NME that "We have a plan, we know exactly what's coming next and I have the music for the next record . . . We have really awesome, big plans for the next album and I'm really excited about it."

The band released their last album Wasting Light in 2011.
