After an amazing 2012 touring across the world, teaming up with artists such as Mutemath, Ra Ra Riot, Of Monsters and Men, having a partnership with designer Yuna Yang during New York City Fashion Week, and having their music featured on several popular television shows, South African band Civil Twilight rested up for the holidays and the New Year. Now, they are revving up again starting with a trip to Austin, TX for the notorious South By Southwest Festival in March. Civil Twilight will be performing at four different showcases this year on March 14th and 16th including Wind-up Showcase, Baeble Showcase, Waterloo Showcase and Flemming Artist Showcase. Fans will get a chance to get some personal interaction with the guys during a signing after their set at the Waterloo Showcase.

Just in time for their trip to Austin, Civil Twilight has teamed up with an African shoe designer and their mission to help create a better Africa. Mozaqa which means "play music" aims to educate consumers about the difference between trade and aid, and build support for the Oliberte brand and their work to create fair jobs and a thriving middle class in Africa. The program partners the brand with one band or artist each month for free music downloads, exclusive video content and giveaways.  Keep visiting the website over the next three weeks for more exclusive content:

"Partnering with bands like Civil Twilight, that care about the world around them, in our case Africa, just as much about the music they make, symbolizes so clearly the world we at Oliberte want to be part of, and leave to future generations. A world in which you can express your creative side, but make a real difference - from the shoes you stand in (and for), to the music that makes you move and groove." - Tal Dehtair, CEO of Oliberte

Last year, Civil Twilight’s had an amazing year with the release of their album, Holy Weather. With an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and featured on Entertainment Weekly, MTV Iggy, Buzznet and many others, the band was also excited to have their songs played in various television shows. Heard on shows such as “Vampire Diaries,” “Parenthood,” VH1s “Mob Wives,” HBO Promo’s for “Big Love,” Fox TVs Coverage of Major League Baseball, “House,” “One Tree Hill,” “N3mbers” and “Harper’s Island,” Civil Twilight certainly made a name for themselves.  The band is excited for what 2013 has in store for them and is ready to show the world more with their appearance at SXSW.
