Yeah Yeah Yeahs have posted a teaser to YouTube for their upcoming release, Mosquito. The snippet, which clocks in at under a minute, shows clips of the band performing a new song in a grey and white room adorned with white Christmas tree lights.

"I think this record has more moodier and tripped-out songs than you've ever heard from us," fronter Karen O said in an official statement.

"You might catch some roots reggae and minimalist psychedelia influences in there. This is a feel good, food for the soul, chicken soup for the ears Yeah Yeah Yeahs record - which doesn't mean easy listening - it means kind of raw, kind of chaotic, kind of dreamy. Very us."

Mosquito is due April 16, followed by a spring tour. Before that, YYY will play at the NPR Music showcase, part of SXSW, on March 13.
