Queens of the Stone Age have revealed that one-time member Mark Lanegan has re-joined the group to record vocals for an upcoming album.
The news was released via a short and simple Tweet by the band: "Lanegan came by. He didn't say much, but he sang good."
Lanegan has appeared on three previous QOTSA albums, and is just one of several former band members set to appear on the upcoming album.
Multiple media outlets have reported that one-time bassist Nick Oliveri, who left the band in 2004, will be on the record, along with Foo Fighters fronter Dave Grohl putting in work on the drums.
Jake Shears and Trent Reznor will also reportedly appear on the album. No word on an album title or a release date.
