Pearl Jam have confirmed a pair of tour dates set to take place over the summer. The first will go down at London, Ontario's Budweiser Gardens on July 16 and the second will be at Chicago's Wrigley Field on July 19.

The dates are likely to come in support of a new studio release from the band, although Eddie Vedder says they are only about half-way done with the recording:

"We're taking our time," Vedder tells Rolling Stone.

"I was talking to [bassist] Jeff [Ament] today . . . He's heading to the West Coast, I'm heading east . . . I'm doing the other . . . We'll be ready to go when we're ready to go."

He adds that the band continues to work collaboratively and towards a unique sound:

"We really work together as a unit these days . . . We've figured out after all these years that if everybody just puts their stamp on it, then it sounds how we want it to."
