Foo Fighters fronter Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins will induct Rush into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during its 28th annual induction ceremony.
"Something happens when you become an elder rock & roller and you're still functioning," Geddy Lee told Rolling Stone.
"People start to give you awards and recognize achievements. It's the life achievement period of your career. You spend most of your life working and trying to hone your craft, working on your chops, working on your writing and you don't really think about accolades. Then you get a bit older and they start coming your way. It's a nice pat on the back."
Also at the ceremony, John Mayer will perform in honor of Albert King with Gary Clark Jr., before inducting the late bluesman. Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson will salute Donna Summer, while Don Henley will induct Randy Newman.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will be held April 18th at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live. It will be broadcast on HBO May 18th.
