Rise Against Plans To Take Break Before Recording Next Album

Tim McIlrath, frontman for Rise Against, says that after two years of touring, the band plans on taking a break before making its next move.

Speaking with Rolling Stone magazine, McIlrath listed the diverse places the tour had brought the band:

"We've been all around the world twice," he said. "We played these songs everywhere from Santiago in Chile to Moscow and Canada, Japan, Australia."

"I feel really good about it. The record did really well, the shows did well, we had some great tours, we toured with some great friends of ours and we all feel very proud of what we did these couple of years."

He added that the band plans on heading in a new direction sonically with its next release, likely toning down its aggressive approach.
