Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who've been speculated to be working on their fourth studio album for some time, have announced a tentative release date.
"DNA upgrades, spontaneous evolution and NEW YEAH YEAH YEAHS RECORD ARRIVING SPRING 2013! finally. The album will be the trio's fourth full-length studio album and follows 2009's It's Blitz!" posted the band to its Instagram account.
The group, performing at Brooklyn's Union Pool for a Hurricane Sandy benefit, debuted a new track called "Despair" for the crowd of about 70 people.
Spin magazine, reporting from the event, described "Despair" as "a spare thumper that recalled Florence and the Machine's 'Dog Days Are Over.'"
