Jack White has cut his ties to the score for the upcoming Gore Verbinski film, The Lone Ranger. According to IndieWire, the White Stripes rocker was busy at the composing of the soundtrack, but has been replaced by the ubiquitous Hans Zimmer.

"Oscar winner Hans Zimmer, the musical mastermind behind Disney's and Jerry Bruckheimer Films' Pirates of the Caribbean, has signed on to compose the score for The Lone Ranger," said the film's distributor, Disney, in a statement. "Jack White, who had originally been contemplated to score and has contributed several pieces of music to the production, was logistically unavailable due to scheduling conflicts that arose when the film's release moved to July of 2013."

The Lone Ranger, starring Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as the title character, is due in theaters July 3.
