Deryck Whibley, frontman of Sum 41 and former husband to Avril Lavigne, dressed up as Avril for a Halloween party. Whibley's girlfriend, Ari Cooper, dressed up as Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, and the pair went out on the town as the newly engaged pop stars.
Kroeger, apparently, was not pleased with the gag and hit back on Twitter, dissing Whibley's lack of star power:
"Hey Deryck loved the costumes! we were going to dress up as you guys this year but all the parties had celebrity themes haha!"
At the shindig, Whibley wore a straight blonde wig with rainbow highlights and smoky eye makeup to mock Avril, while Cooper wore a curly blonde wig and fake beard to imitate Chad.
Whibley and Lavigne were married in 2007 and split in 2009 citing "irreconcilable differences."
