On the heels of a triumphant pair of performances on Saturday Night Live, Passion Pit announce their first of many 2013 tour dates:  a headline performance on February 8th at New York City’s Madison Square Garden with very special guests Matt & Kim.  With a capacity of over 13,000, the Madison Square Garden show will be the bands largest headlining show to date.  Tickets for the MSG show will be available via presale on Thursday, October 18th, with the public on-sale set for Friday the 19th.  For more details, visit Bowery Presents.

Passion Pit is currently in the midst of a U.S. headline tour that will continue through the end of 2012.  The band will complete their run of three sold-out shows at Washington D.C.’s 9:30 Club today, before continuing southeast for sold-out shows in Raleigh and Charleston. This tour also sees the band playing two nights at Minneapolis’ First Avenue, along with twelve other headline dates across the U.S. in October/November. After a quick trip to the UK and Mexico, the band finishes the year with a run of radio shows in December.  A full list of U.S. dates is included below.
Passion Pit returned to the stage in September with a co-headline performance at the fabled Hollywood Bowl, about which Variety Magazine raved, “Angelakos' voice is as divisive as it is stunning to behold -- a helium-soaked sonic weapon that is frequently pushed to the very apex of its register. On this evening, he was in top form, hitting notes with precision and infusing his melodies with a desperate emotional intensity.”

Four months after the bands #4 Billboard chart debut with Gossamer, Passion Pit is seeing their first top 10 Alternative chart hit with “Take A Walk” (which currently is sitting at # 6.)  Additionally, Passion Pit made their first TV appearance in support of Gossamer performing “Take A Walk” and the infectious album cut “Carried Away”  on Saturday Night Live. Both tracks, along with the album, saw a spike in sales after the bands energetic performance this past weekend  showing that in conjunction with prominent features and collaborations over the months - including including a synch in Obama’s 100 Days Campaign, an original track on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 soundtrack and inclusion in the Brooks Brothers 2012 Fall Catalog – Passion Pit are continuing to grow strong with Gossamer; a dichotomous masterwork bound by the precise vision of wunderkind Michael Angelakos.
