Coldplay has released the music video for "Hurts Like Heaven," from their most recent album Mylo Xyloto. The vid, directed by Mark Osborne with illustrations by Alejandro Fuentes, is a nod to the band's Mylo comic book series released earlier in the year.

The video features a group of superheroes on the run from police in a dystopian future. The group is caught but a young boy appears to have absorbed their powers, leaving the world with a little hope.

Six issues of the comic book series, written by Osborne, were released in February. According to him, the character of Mylo Xyloto was a "young Silencer on the front lines of a war against sound and color in the world of Silencia. Mylo discovers that the enemy he's been trained to hate his whole life might not be the enemy after all."
