The Black Keys have confirmed that they will release a new album in 2013. The album will be the follow-up to their 2011 album El Camino.

"It is definitely gonna happen in 2013," Patrick Carney told CBS Local. "It's just a matter of how long it takes us to make the album and deciding when we want to get back on the road."

Carney then added:

"With El Camino, it was mastered and mixed around June 15th [of 2011]. We were aiming for a September release date with that record, but we decided that if we pushed it back to December, we could end up having a kind of low-key three months."
