Jack White has drawn harsh criticism from some fans in New York City after playing for only 45 minutes at Radio City Music Hall on September 29. White offered up only twelve songs to the audience, many of whom paid over $90 for tickets.

Outraged fans quickly took to the web blasting the former White Stripes rocker for cutting things short. Thus far there has been no explanation from White, but there is widespread speculation that he was dissatisfied with the sound quality and audience participation at the show.

According to Brooklyn Vegan, the rocker at one point chided the audience for sounding like an "NPR convention." A writer for the New York Observer later added a few details about the incident via Twitter:

"Mystery solved. Security guy @ Radio City said Jack White 'wasn't happy with the sound, I don't know why he pulled that'."
