Linkin Park is the first rock band to garner one billion hits on YouTube. They are not, however, the first musical act to do so, as Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Rihanna have previously achieved the same milestone.

"New Divide," the lead single from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen soundtrack, was the song that pushed their channel, LinkinParkTV, over the edge, scoring 131 million hits alone.

The accolades for the hard rockers are pouring in by the day. Two weeks ago, Mike Shinoda and the boys were cited by the National Weather Service for becoming the first touring act to comply with the agency's StormReady program.

"It is vital to have an emergency preparedness plan in place when dealing with large venue events," National Weather Service Warning Coordination Meteorologist Rick Smith said in a congratulatory letter re-posted on the band's site.
