Blink-182 is back at work, and even though it's only been a year since they released their latest album Neighborhoods, the band is already working on the follow-up.

Bassist Mark Hoppus says he's been getting inspiration and new ideas for the band's upcoming album, and he's starting to save them on tape. He posted a cryptic message on his Google+ account, in which he stated, "it begins . . ." paired with a photo of a Logic Pro session, hinting that he's starting to lay down track for new Blink-182 music.

"Sorry, not trying to be mysterious," Hoppus said in the post. "Yes, this is me opening a new file for a blink-182 song. I had three ideas today, all very different. I wish I knew how to operate Logic better. These guitar tracks sound like Frankenstein's monster singing dub step . . ."
