Three Days Grace is set to release their fourth studio album entitled Transit of Venus on October 2nd on RCA Records.

The Canadian band embarks on new creative ground with the new album, recording for the first time with acclaimed producer Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Hollywood Undead, Bullet for My Valentine), at Revolution Studios in Toronto. The album’s first single entitled “Chalk Outline” will be available for sale at all digital providers on August 14th,   the same day that the album pre-order goes live at iTunes. Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace comments on the musical direction of the group's fourth record:  “We went for a tighter, more articulated sound on this record.  The music we were writing was a little more intricate than in the past, and we've been experimenting with new instruments.  We wanted to present these new ideas concisely without going over-the-top in ambience and overall production.”

Three Days Grace has enjoyed massive radio and sales success, having sold over 6 million albums in the United States alone. Their previous album Life Starts Now (2009) debuted at #3 on the Billboard album chart and spawned three #1 hit singles (“Break,” “The Good Life,” and “World So Cold,”) at rock radio formats. “I Hate (Everything About You),” the breakthrough single from their debut self-titled album (2003) had a stronghold on the active and modern rock charts for over 47 weeks. That success followed with their sophomore release One-X three years later which yielded three massive chart-topping singles “Never Too Late,”  “Pain” and “Animal I Have Become,” all achieving the #1 spot at rock radio formats. “Pain” and “Animal I Have Become” were also awarded BMI Awards in 2006. In addition to winning two BMI Awards, the band has received a Billboard Music Award (2006 for Best Rock Song “Animal”) and two Juno Award nominations for Best Rock Album and Best New Artist.
