SafetySuit has clearly established that they’re a band that matters. In support of their most recent release These Times, the band will be kicking off a national headline tour at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia, PA on September 7th and will conclude on October 5th in Houston, TX at Scout Bar.

Unlike most bands, SafetySuit topped their major label debut with their sophomore album These Times, which had an epic first week debuting at No. 7 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and No. 2 on Billboard’s Digital Albums chart. Propelled by iTunes Single of the Week, their title track “These Times” received over a half-million downloads within seven days. These Times was produced by Howard Benson, Espionage (New York-based Norwegian team of Espen, Lind, and Amund Biorklund), and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder. Despite the fact that the band interacted with three producers, each possessing a particular approach, the album comes across as a thoroughly unified piece of work. “What I loved about all of them is that they were all like ‘Where do you want to take it and how can we help you to get there?’ Brown explains. “But you’ve gotta go into it knowing where you want it to go in the first place.”

Hailing from the music city of Nashville, the group has toured endlessly, playing over 200 shows developing a loyal and devoted fanbase along the way. They’ve shared the stage with Daughtry, The Script, Lifehouse, and label mate Mat Kearney on VH1’s The Best Cruise Ever. In addition, they’ve performed on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, Rachel Ray Show, and their video for “Stay” shot to No. 1 on the voter-generated VH1 Top 20 Countdown earning the title “You Oughtta Know” from VH1.
