Saints of Valory

Saints of Valory

These guys are a multi-national band. Gavin Jasper, the vocalist for Saints of Valory is from Brazil. The drummer, Gerard Bouvier is from France, Stephen Buckle plays keys, he’s from Canada, and the lone American is Godfrey Thomson on guitar. They were formed in Rio de Janeiro in ’09, they relocated to Austin, TX in 2010, where they still reside. They’ve got a brand new EP that they’ll be releasing next month, which should be amazing, but for now- enjoy “Neon Eyes.”

Goodnight Fellows

Goodnight Fellows

Originally from Pueblo, CO they’ve moved around a little since then and have made plenty of friends along the way. Most of their music is available on PureVolume, and they’ve charted on the popular streaming/download site several times. Regardless of where they are or how they’re distributing their music, look out for Goodnight Fellows. This is an older song from the group, but still a great one- get “Lullaby”

The Rassle

The Rassle

The Rassle is fresh off of a hit performance at SXSW and generally they’ve been generating a strong amount of buzz over the past couple of years. They’ve got an EP that you can get for free on their website http://www.therassle.com but here’s a taste off of that EP if you’re not ready to go there quite yet. Download The Rassle’s “Full Speed Ahead.”

Wayward

Wayward

How does anybody come to show up in Reno, NV? It happens when your fathers play in a well-respected Beatles tribute band of course. Two members of Wayward ended up in Reno that way and the rest of the group came together throughout their school years. The members went crazy for pop punk and formed Wayward. They too have charted on PureVolume a few times, and btw… their fathers are crazy about their music. Check out “Take All of Me.”

Midnight Hour

Midnight Hour

Midnight Hour has been kicking ass and taking names in the Los Angeles music scene so far in 2012. After getting some attention from radio giant KROQ, they’ve sold out a House of Blues show in Orange County. That’s pretty impressive. They’ve given this song away on their official site for awhile, and they’ve been on Alternative Addiction’s Top 20 for awhile too. If you haven’t gotten it yet- get “Modern Love.”
