Evanescence will premiere the video for their latest single “My Heart Is Broken,” on Tuesday, January 24th on Vevo.  Shot in Los Angeles last December and directed by Dean Karr (Queens of the Stone Age, Dave Matthews, Marilyn Manson), the video draws from the inspiration of front woman Amy Lee.  In a recent interview with MTV, Lee describes the video as a “surreal dream world, and the band’s performance is the dream within the dream, in an abyss of darkness.”  Lee continues “we’re playing with fiber optics, so basically I’m drawing the world around me from nothingness, and when I draw things with my hands they actually come to life.”  To view the video’s visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOmee09JWrU.

“My Heart Is Broken,” which will impact radio on February 14th, comes off of the band’s highly anticipated 3rd major release Evanescence, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s album charts and reached No. 1 on the iTunes Rock, U.K. and German download charts.  The band successfully wrapped its second round of sold out US tour dates on January 21st with Rival Sons and have plans to move onward with tours in Mexico, Japan and East Asia beginning January 26th.  For more info please visit www.evanescence.com.
