The Zac Brown Band is probably the most popular country music act in the country right now, and it seems like every day new fans are discovering their songs and seeking out Zac Brown Band tickets for their live tours. But what makes this band so special is that they genuinely seem to be a good group of down to earth guys. Want proof? Just check the Zac Brown Band site, where they have a note up about the band's unique Eat and Greets.>
Plenty of music fans are familiar with Meet and Greets, where you can exchange pleasantries with the band and maybe get an autograph. But the Zac Brown Band are much more comfortable breaking bread with their fans. They have an area set up with some great southern cooking and sit down along with all their fans and actually share a meal with them. It's a great idea, and it's too bad more bands don't do it. Apparently, the food even features Zac's own brand of signature Brown Sauce and Spice Rub, which sounds pretty tasty. It's just one more way that Zac and the band get close to their fans.

Not that they need to to win their support. They are up for a ton of awards at this year's Country Music Awards, including Best Vocal Group, Best Single for "Colder Weather," Best Album for You Get What You Give, Song of the Year for "Colder Weather" and Musical Event of the Year for "As She's Walking Away" which was performed with Alan Jackson. All that, plus they are also going to be performing live at the award show, just to give everyone something special. Needless to say, they are getting quite a lot of exposure these days, and it's easy to see why so many fans are falling in love with them.

The Sun-Herald has a great article up, in fact, that gives fans even more insight into just how plain Zac and the band can be. They interviewed them ahead of a show and asked what they thought of being such massive stars in the country music scene. "I’m so removed, I still don’t understand how big we are, but I still don’t really realize if (we are) a household name," Brown told them. "It’s hard because we’re so focused on things. Everyone is really focused, and we maintain a good friendship that comes with the success.

The success has been mighty indeed. In the article, Brown notes that when their third single went number one, they started seeing about three times as many fans at their shows in just one night. At first, the band was shocked, and figured it might just be that they were more popular in the city they were in. But the truth was that they were more than that. They had become national stars, and it looks like they're going to be staying that way for a long time to come.

If you haven't seen them on their tour yet, make sure you check out their concert schedule and get to the next show.
