Stone Sour has canceled their summer tour after drummer Roy Mayorga suffered a minor stroke after the band's show last week in Des Moines, Iowa.

The 41-year-old Mayorga was ill after the band's Des Moines show and sought treatment for his illness. It was discovered that he suffered a minor stroke from which he is now recovering.

Said the band through a statement: "It is with regret we've decided to cancel. Roy's doing great and he's expected to make a 100% recovery. We apologize to all the fans and look forward to getting back out on the road with Roy in the coming months."

All six remaining shows on the tour have been canceled.

Various other musicians have expressed their support on Twitter, with former Avenged Sevenfold drummer Mike Portnoy posting: "All my love and positive vibes going out to my good bro Roy Mayorga . . . get well soon, buddy!"

Dez Fafara of DevilDriver, also posted: "Fast recovery, brother. Love and endurance golden orbs around you, Roy."
