Soundgarden have revealed thirteen newly added shows to their recently announced July tour, including a performance at the Ottawa Blues Fest on July 5th - completing the Summer routing.
The long awaited announcement of the band’s first tour in over 13 years was greeted with an outpouring of excitement --Rolling Stone dubbed it as one of the “Summers Hottest Tours.” Coheed and Cambria and The Mars Volta will open for Soundgarden on the first and second half of the tour respectively, and Queens of the Stone Age and Meat Puppets will join the band on the last two dates of the run.
The seventeen shows will finish up with a homecoming concert in Seattle at The Gorge on July 30th joined by very special guests Queens of the Stone Age, Mastodon and Meat Puppets. This is the first Seattle concert since the intimate, surprise show held at the Showbox in 2010. See additional dates in bold below.
The pre-sale for the Soundgarden fan club begins on May 9. Public on-sales for Uncasville, CT, Newark, NJ, Wantagh, NY, Fairfax, VA, San Francisco, CA and Vancouver, BC, start on May 13, and May 14 for London, ON, Mansfield, MA, Atlantic City, NJ, Chicago, IL, Las Vegas, NV and George, WA.
