What are heroin addiction symptoms? Heroin is a highly addictive drug that is a synthetic derivative of heroin found in the opium poppy plant. It is generally injected as a drug to provide relief from pain during physical injury. If you or someone you know is suffering from heroin addiction then you may have experienced several heroin addiction signs. Heroin is usually injected in the arm or under the tongue for immediate effect but many addicts inject their body with it and the skin may also be punctured with a needle. Once a person starts taking this drug they feel highly intoxicated, they are not physically addicted and they do not feel that their body is accepting the drug.
