Former Live front man turned solo artist Ed Kowalczyk recently announced his plans for a fall tour that kicks off September 16th in Philadelphia, full dates are below. The tour is in support of his latest release, Alive, which came out earlier this month.
While recording Alive, Kowalczyk said that the album represented a new chapter in his life, and rejuvenated him as a musician.
“For me as an artist, I had been doing it the same way for so long, it just came to a point a couple years ago where I needed a change,” Kowalczyk told Alternative Addiction during an interview last month. “If anything, I kind of lost the spark, I was just kind of doing the same thing over and over. I needed to get out of that and become a creative individual again.” [Hear the full interview]
Following Kowalczyk’s tour, he’ll play another round of dates as part of round 2 of the acoustic only “Open Wings, Broken Strings Tour,” which originally started last year. Full dates are expected to be announced later this fall.
