Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan reportedly collapsed onstage during a show in Florida earlier this week. After the incident, the singer took to Twitter to tell fans that it was not a part of the show or a publicity stunt.

According to a report from the BBC, the band was in the midst of "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" when the 43-year-old singer suddenly hit the deck.

"That wasn't a stage move or clumsiness," Corgan tweeted. "That was me blacking out and wiping out." P>

There has been no news thus far as to the cause of the fall or the nature of Corgan's injuries, but the singer did add that he has some bruises and soreness.

"I have no memory of falling against the drum riser and my guitar cabinet, but I can tell you I've got quite a good bruise [and] am moving slow," he added.

The band is currently on a U.S. tour in support of their new album, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope. The offering consists of 44 tracks and is being released as 11 separate four-song EPs.
