In celebration of the 10 year anniversary of the release of their debut album The Madding Crowd, Nine Days will play a show in New York on July 30th, playing every song from the album.
To be held at The Boulton Center in Bay Shore, NY, The Long Island based band will also play two sets featuring music from their indie releases both pre and post The Madding Crowd. Tickets for the event will be limited, and are all reserved. Tickets can be purchased at The Boulton Center Box Office at www.boultoncenter.org Tickets go on sale tomorrow (5/27) at noon.
Originally released on May 16, 2000, The Madding Crowd featured the hit singles "Absolutely (Story of a Girl)" and "If I Am", which helped the album achieve Gold stats (500k copies sold) less than a year after its release. Following the release of The Madding Crowd, Nine Days released three albums So Happily Unsatisfied in 2002. Flying the Corporate Jet in 2003, and Slow Motion Life (Part One) in 2007.

"The Madding Crowd" was their fourth album, first major label release but let's not discredit their older discs. and "So Happily" was shelved by Epic and never released, despite being quite possibly the best powerpop record ever Posted by Ryan on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 3:00:04 AM
