Despite the success of his reunion with Creed, Scott Stapp said in his blog that he still plans to release a new solo album, with the first single due out later this year.  The album was rumored to be due out in 2009, but was reportedly shelved when Stapp's reunion with Creed was announced.  Stapp is also expected to tour in support of the new release in 2011.

Meanwhile, Creed is set to embark on a nationwide summer tour in support of their 2009 release Full Circle.  The tour is expected to run through much of the summer with multiple major city stops.  Upon completion of the tour, Stapp will reportedly turn his focus to the aforementioned solo release.

Stapp won't be the only member of Creed working on new material this fall for another band, as the other members of Creed - Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips, are rumored to have already begun work on a new Alter Bridge album with lead singer Myles Kennedy.
