Saving Abel frontman Jared Weeks was hospitalized last night (Nov 12) due to diabetic complications from the flu. A string of dates in the Michigan area have been cancelled due to the illness. Rescheduled dates for the scheduled performances for Saving Abel in Grand Rapids, Detroit and Saginaw will be announced in the coming days. Opening acts Taddy Porter, Red and Pop Evil will still take the stage in the Michigan markets.
As previously reported, Saving Abel had been road testing material for their new album on their current tour. The band has played unreleased new tracks such as "Hell of a Ride," "Bloody Sunday" and "Tap Out" during recent shows on the current tour. Weeks is expected to make a full recovery in time for the band's tour to resume in Cleveland on November 17th.
