Addiction Theories

So many people suffer from addictions, and most of them do not know what addiction theories are. If you have been looking at this article then you already have an understanding on what addiction is all about. But let me tell you the truth about this subject matter. Addiction, whether it is smoking drinking, gambling, or any other addiction, is a chemical addiction. That means that there is no psychological effect or emotional impact with the addict as long as he continues to fulfill his own needs. This kind of addiction cannot be controlled and it has to be removed from the person’s life because it will destroy everything in its path. In order to answer the question, what are some addiction theories, I have to say that they are all very similar. However, they are also unique to the type of addiction. For instance, the alcoholism addiction theory is very different from the heroin addiction theory because alcoholics cannot control their need for alcohol. And that is why they can not live a normal life but still crave for it because it is their drug of choice. The same is true for the gambling addiction theory. Gambling addicts do not have any control over their need for this kind of addiction because they cannot stop gambling until they find a place where they can gamble and not have to worry about being scammed. These are just two examples. There are many types of addiction, but all of them share one thing – a lack of control. The addict is willing to sacrifice everything in their life just to fulfill their addiction. And when their addiction is finally removed, they become a completely different person than they were before. This is why it is important to address the problem before it destroys your life. Remember that addicts do not think of death as their end. They think about it as a temporary change and a new beginning. That is why it is very important to make sure that they are treated for whatever addiction they suffer from – to ensure that they do not go back to their old ways of thinking and just continue to suffer through addiction.
