The Honorary Title's Jarrod Gorbel and Dustin Dobernig will hit the road in late August for an acoustic tour with Good Old War and Cory Branan supporting.

Gorbel is currently putting the finishing touches on his first solo record – a dramatic departure for the New York singer-songwriter, who spent the early part of this summer in a Los Angeles studio with producer Blake Sennett, formerly of Rilo Kiley and The Elected. They rounded up a backing band including Jason Boesel (formerly of Rilo Kiley, and currently in Conor Oberst’s Mystic Valley Band) on drums, Azure Ray’s Orenda Fink on backing vocals, Nate Walcott (Bright Eyes, Mystic Valley Band) and Alex McDougal from the Black Crowes on organ – for an album more intimate and organic than the grandiose pop/rock sounds Gorbel explored on the Honorary Title’s 2007 LP, Scream and Light Up The Sky.

Gorbel will be previewing some new material during his upcoming shows; a limited edition four-song EP of new songs will also be available on the tour. Check out the band on tour at one of the dates listed below:
