5 Questions With Ernie Halter

Singer/Songwriter Ernie
Halter will be part of The Hotel Carolina weekend festival in Isle of
Palms, South Carolina on September 25-26, 2009.
We had a chance to sit down with Ernie and talk about the upcoming show
at Hotel Carolina as well as his new CD, check out Alternative
Addiction's 5 questions with Ernie Halter Below.

AA: Who are you most
excited to see at Hotel Carolina?
Ernie: Wow.
tough question. I love all these artists.. as songwriters and as people.
I'll say I'm always happy to hear Tony Lucca and Tyrone Wells perform.
AA: Have you ever
been to The Windjammer? If so, what’s it like?
Ernie:
I've played the WJ with Tyrone Wells,
Sister Hazel, and Big Head Todd! One of my all time favorite venues in
the US. Plus the people who run it are some real nice folks. They were
the first to introduce me to Firefly sweet tea vodka, made in
Charleston. I cant say enough good things about the Windjammer. : ]
AA:
What can fans expect during your live show at Hotel Carolina?
Ernie:
Some soulful singing. Quirky anecdotes.
Interaction and crowd participation. Requests!, and maybe a few dirty
jokes.
AA:
You just released "Starting Over," how has the
reaction been thus far? What can fans expect when they pick up a copy?
Ernie:
Reaction has been really encouraging for me
as an artist who's main promotion is still word of mouth. Starting Over
peaked #22 on the iTunes rock album charts and broke into the top 100
overall. Fans listening to the record can expect honest songs,
straightforward rock trio rhythm section and songs with only voice and
instrument, plus a mostly naked delivery. All songs were tracked live
with minimal editing.
