Disney/Pixar’s Up
has made its way to consoles in
another licensed game from THQ. And
really for once THQ has put out a
different type of licensed video
game. This isn’t your standard
platformer…. It’s a coop game at
heart that is best played with a
friend on the same console.
The game follows
the movie pretty closely with some
cut scenes and those aren’t bad. The
graphics and textures for this game
aren’t bad either… pretty much
what’s expected. The audio can get a
little obnoxious with hint after
hint aimed toward the younger gamer.
Everything else is cool.
The most important
note about the game version of Up is
how it makes two people work
together in coop mode and how you
can have an advanced gamer and an
inexperienced gamer playing at the
same time and it becomes a fun game
that you can play with your
son/daughter or your little
brother/little sister.
This game gets the
Microsoft Family Games sticker for a
reason because that’s what it is. If
you’ve got a young, inexperienced
gamer and you’re looking to get him
or her started this is a great way
to interact with them inside of the
home. Even if you’ve got a kid under
10 that liked the movie, this is a
good purchase and that’s who it was
made for. It’s got some minor bugs
but the overall product is a product
that’s great for kids.
