My
female counterpart
caught on to the
Twilight
craze a year before
they stated making
the first movie. So,
I have been in
vampire hell for the
past few years. It’s
not that fun to be
here, but at least
it isn’t lonely. The
females flock to the
romance and Robert
Pattinson, and they
drag their
boyfriends and their
husbands to go and
see it.
Eclipse
progresses the story
to its peak of the
next two-part movie
Breaking Dawn.
In this story, Bella
and Edward are in
love and committed
to each other, but
there’s a catch…
Jacob the Werewolf
seeks to steal Bella
from Edward. That
and a vampire army
is mobilizing to
kill Bella… for
reasons unknown to
Edward’s clan. Even
more unknown… the
ampire mafia… the
Volturi… aren’t
doing anything about
it. The movie is
both confusing and
easy to follow if
that’s possible….
It’s confusing
because you’re
wondering why more
common sense isn’t
being used and it’s
easy to follow…well
because she loves
him, he loves her,
but he loves her
too. She loves him
slightly, but not as
much as she loves
him. So there ya go.
The
movie really is
excellently done.
There’s not a
problem with the
work done by David
Slade in the entire
movie. From special
effects to all
around
cinematography
there’s nothing to
dislike or mark off
in the video or
sound department.
Slade did a great
job behind the
camera. The main
problem I’ve had
with the
Twilight
series is the
acting. Spots in the
first two are
nothing short of
awful. Here the cast
is used to their
roles and Kristen
Stewart is good as
Bella, Robert
Pattison is good as
Edward, Taylor
Lautner is good as
Jacob, and really
it’s appropriately
casted. The biggest
flaw with the movie
is the dialogue…
there’s a line here
and there when
everyone in the
entire world knows
what’s going on…even
the characters… but
they go ahead and
say it anyway… and
it really can’t help
but feel extremely
corny. The dialogue
and how this movie
flows are its two
main problems…
They’re making a
two-part finale to
the saga, so things
will slow down in
that one
considerably, but in
this film it feels
like they’re rushing
through things. I’m
not sure how they
can pull off rushing
through something
and showing
something
unnecessary for 20
minutes out of the
movie… but they pull
it off.
The extras on this
Blu-ray will keep
any Twilight fan
occupied for hours.
There’s a six-part
documentary, two
commentary tracks,
one with Stewart and
Pattinson and the
other with author
Stephenie Meyer and
the producer Then
there are some cool
deleted scenes as
well as a couple of
music videos.
Eclipse
wasn’t as good as
New
Moon,
the fighting
sequences were cool
and the special
effects were cool
too but they didn’t
do as good as a job
with the story that
they did in the
first two films.
They do set things
up for the big
two-part finale
perfectly though so
they do get credit
for that.
