The topic of sleep
can leave many
people restless…
literally. Getting a
good night’s sleep
and forming good
sleep habits is
crucial for both
kids and adults. The
Sleeptracker Elite
is a watch that you
wear at night. With
the Sleeptracker
Elite, you put this
on at night because
it tracks your sleep
patterns and habits
and lets you look at
that data on your
PC. It’s also a
smart alarm clock
and useful bedtime
tool. The
Sleeptracker Elite
is the gadget of
gadget for
nighttime.
I
think if you ask
eight people if they
got a good night's
sleep I think three
of them would
honestly say yes. If
you ask those same
eight people if they
could have slept
more soundly and
more comfortably I
think seven of those
people would say
yes. So the point
is, sleep gets
overlooked. A lot of
don't get enough and
most of us don't get
a good quality of
sleep. If you're in
a funk of waking up
feeling tired all of
the time, then the
Sleeptracker Elite
watch could be a
great solution for
you.
How
does it work and how
does it track your
sleep? Before you go
to sleep, you can
set a time for when
your bedtime is or
you can push a
button on your watch
to activate a sleep
till setting. The
watch will then
start tracking your
sleeping
automatically in 30
minutes from that
point. Once you're
sleeping, the
Sleeptracker follows
the moments in your
sleep when you’re
more awake.
If
your more-alert
sleeping phases are
long and close
together, then
you’re not getting a
good night’s sleep.
If your more-alert
patterns are short
and far apart, then
you’re getting some
good sleep.
The Sleeptracker’s
best quality is its
simple four button
interface. It's easy
to set your time,
your alarm, to set
your sleep till
timer and to track
some basic data on
your watch. You can
also plug the watch
into your PC with a
USB cable and look
at the data that
way. The watch’s
alarm watch is also
fantastic. It can
make both a lot of
noise and or vibrate
to wake you up.
Honestly it's not
just a great way to
track your sleep,
but it's a great way
to wake up for
people who struggle
with that in the
morning. Especially
considering the
alarm window
function, you can
set the alarm in a
30 minute window and
the Sleeptracker
will wake you up
when you’re in an
alert phase, not
when you’re in a
deep sleep phase.
The Sleeptracker
Elite’s one downside
is while it's not
uncomfortable, it
could be more
comfortable. The
band is fine but,
the face of the
watch doesn't always
rest comfortably on
your hand, it's a
little tight there.
It's not a deal
breaker by any
means, but the goal
of greater comfort
should be one to be
strived for by the
Sleeptracker folks
as they progress
with future versions
of their product.
If you're desperate
because you're not
getting enough sleep
and you're tired all
of the time, I'd
always say to go see
your doctor first.
But if you're
casually worried
about it and you
want to know more
about the sleep
you’re getting. This
isn't a bad thing to
try. It's reasonably
priced for the use
you'll get out of
it, and best of
all... it works.
