PlayStation Move
Heroes
isn't an ambitious
title that's
supposed to be an
epic adventure like
one we've never seen
before on PS3. It's
not that, it's not
meant to be that,
and you can't judge
it as that.
PlayStation move
Heroes
is a mini-game based
PlayStation Move
demo that's meant to
introduce the
younger crowd to the
characters involved
here and the Move
itself. It's not a
game built for
hardcore gamers,
it's a game built
for the intermediate
gamer.
There's not much of
a story here, that's
the only thing I can
really say is a
bummer when you
judge it at the kid
angle. Six heroes
from three of Sony's
best titles get
abducted through
black holes and
forced to compete in
different mini games
and advance the
story. It's pretty
simple as far as the
story goes, but I
have to confess...
the mini games
aren't that bad.
Each of them is
unique in its own
way and the controls
with using the Move
in these games is
fun. That goes from
bowling, shooting,
steering discs
around in circles,
and cracking a whip
or swinging a hammer
to bash some robots.
The controls are
fun. Some of these
mini-games are going
to be too hard for
younger kids, but
some of them are
perfect for all ages
and they'll have fun
with this.
So the story stinks,
but the mini games
are fun. That's
what's important
with PlayStation
Move Heroes. I'd say
the set-up for the
game is a tad
annoying but that
really goes for all
Move games and not
just this one.
Things would go a
lot smoother if
there was some way
that you could just
pick up and play,
but that's just not
the case.
PlayStation Move
Heroes
is a fun mini-game
release that has its
disadvantages. Not
being able to jump
and some other
restrictions in
gameplay is a big
bummer. But if you
look at it for what
it is, the
introduction to
PlayStation and
PlayStation Move for
kids then it's not a
bad pickup. It’s
priced reasonably
but they do need to
set up a move bundle
with this to appease
the consumer a bit.
It could have been
better, sure. But
for what it is,
PlayStation Move
Heroes
is a fun mini-game
release that uses
some cool features
that the Move has to
offer.
