Marvel Ultimate
Alliance 2 is a lot like Marvel
Ultimate Alliance- except with a
different story line, a few
different characters, co-op fusion
moves that can be pretty stellar,
and a few updated things
presentation wise. Unfortunately
though, MUA2 feels more like an
update pack than an actual game on
its own.
If you played
the first game you know how to play
this game. Lots of
button
mashing, you have four characters on
your screen at the same time, you
can switch back and forth between
characters. You go through a
somewhat linear experience with a
few different paths, you beat up
tons of goons and a few bosses and
then you're done.
In this game
instead of having the Galactus
storyline that took place in the
previous game you get to go the
Marvel Civil War route which is
really an extension of X-Men.
The big
marketing point here is you get to
choose which superhero side you go
on- are you on Captain America's
side and you get to fight with
Captain America, Luke Cage, and Iron
Fist. if you choose Ironman's side
you get to play as Iron Man and Mr.
Fantastic.
You go through
this game and you get unlockable
characters, new outfits, moves, art,
etc- but basically it's all the
stuff you played Marvel Ultimate
Alliance all the way through to get.
I'm not saying that this game isn't
worth your time, because it most
definitely is. It's fun to play as
Wolverine, Captain America,
Spiderman, and Ironfist at the same
time. it's fun to interact with the
characters in the world of Marvel.
And sometimes it's just fun to mash
some buttons, kick some butt, and
hang out. That's what Marvel
Ultimate Alliance 2 is.
