Lost
has taken us through
a wild and crazy six
seasons. The
survivors from
Oceanic Flight 815
have suffered
through ‘others’,
time travel, a black
smoke monster, polar
bears, a freighter
full of soldiers,
and I’m sure I
missed something.
The show went all
over the place- and
truth be told- now
that it’s over, I
miss the show and I
still have no clue
as what happened… I
get it, but there
are tons of
questions at the end
of the show and tons
of things to search
through old episodes
for.
Just because there
are questions at the
end of the show,
that doesn’t mean
that it didn’t come
to a conclusion,
because it
definitely did. The
alternate reality
theme that took
place throughout the
sixth and final
season of the show
was an interesting
theme that helped
build the characters
even more than in
previous seasons.
Moreover, the ‘true’
main character in
the show Jack
Sheppard, played by
Matthew Fox finishes
his spiritual path
and has an
incredible peak to
his story.
This
wasn’t the best
season of
Lost
like many thought it
would be six years
ago when the show
just started, but it
was a good season
that gave us some
answers and left
some things open to
interpretation.
Surprisingly, they
creators of the show
did something
amazing with the
final season of the
show… they made it
one of the most
re-watchable shows
in recent history. I
never thought I’d
want to watch an
episode of
Lost
more than once… now
that it’s over- I
want to go back and
look for the hints
and clues to the
conclusion. Maybe a
couple of times.
That’s why the
seasons of
Lost
end up being
most-own on Blu-ray
if you’re a fan of
the show.
As for the Blu-ray
content itself, it
really is brilliant.
The show looked
great on broadcast
and on Blu-ray is
the best way to see
it on home video.
There’s something
about the location
in Hawaii where they
filmed the show that
just looks amazing
in high definition.
Add that to a good
sound mix that uses
every channel
perfectly and you’ve
got perfect picture
and audio quality to
wrap up the show’s
sixth and final
season.
The
final season of
Lost
wasn’t the best… The
introduction to the
series will always
be its greatest
triumph. The mystery
of everything and
what was happening
on that island was
something that none
of us had ever seen
before. Still, the
sixth season was
fitting when you
think about the
first season.
There’s a ton left
to interpret and
grasp at the end of
the show, and yes…
there’s still a
little bit of
mystery.
