Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs hit movie theatres everywhere last week. There's no surprise that a game hit consoles pretty close to that day too. When talking about the game, it's basically a platformer with a few different things thrown in and I mean that in the nicest way.

With the platformer features; the game has you running around collecting items and performing different tasks with a few different quirks like running around on a snowball thrown in. The game isn't a loss though with it being a platformer because you can tell that a lot of work was put into the game to make it a fun experience for little kids. Little kids who are probably pretty big Ice Age fans.

The game mostly follows the movie- but assumes that the person playing the game has already seen the movie. This is good and bad, because kids that are playing the game have probably seen the movie and that's who this game is for, but it's bad because the video and the cut-scenes jump around quite a bit.

It's fun to play as Sid, Manny, Diego, and the others and the voice acting is something the little ones will love. It's really not for anyone over 8 to play extensively but it's a fun game for the little ones.
