Just when I was
ready to totally lambast the Guitar
Hero franchise, Activision came out
with an amazing that expanded on the
franchise even more. So much so that
there might not be that much they
can improve on from here. It's not
as big of a pain for somebody new to
log on and play. It's easy get from
game mode to game mode- you can even
do it when you're in the middle of
the game. The career mode feels more
expansive with unlockable legends
and you have over 80 songs by
different artists that equal to one
of the best song lists the game has
had.
Now is the time
for Activision to pull things back
slightly. Especially with the
release of Band Hero and DJ Hero.
Things are starting to get
increasingly murky and it's crucial
not put too much out there for fans
of the games to get sick of. Guitar
Hero 5 had to be good. It was going
up against The Beatles Rock Band.
Guitar
Hero: Van Halen was available to all
who purchased this and it was
terrible. Now is really the time to
make some killer downloadable
content and really build on a
version of the game. If you've grown
sour of Guitar Hero or just never
came to the party, this version
could be the perfect place to start.
