G-Force
is Jerry Bruckheimer’s latest
teaming with Disney that’s perfect
for the family. It’s fast paced and
fun...It's also predictable and
mindless but it’s still a good movie
to watch with your young children.
The movies about
Darwin and his team of special agent
rodents. They’ve been equipped with
special devices so they can
communicate with humans. They’ve
also been equipped with all kinds of
special gear that the four of them
know how to run and work perfectly.
They go on a secret mission to
reveal appliance guru Leonard Saber
as an evil mastermind. When that
doesn’t go as planned the rodents
get launched into civilian life
again with every intent of proving
Saber is evil and saving the world.
The film itself
is perfect for five year olds (and
me for that manner), lots of fart
jokes, and a few energetic yet
immature pieces of dialog. Basically
there are a lot of physical comedy
type jokes that your little one will
find funny. The movie’s not one of
Bruckheimer’s better produced films
but it works and it’s funny in its
own right.
The Blu-Ray
presentation of the film is again
your best bet for purchasing it for
home viewing. You get a Blu-Ray
copy, a digital copy, and you also
get a digital copy. You get several
exclusive features to Blu-Ray
including an exploration outing with
Darwin and Blaster. A look back at
Bruckheimer's CG Work, and a look
inside of the animation lab. You
also get bloopers, deleted scenes, a
few music videos, and a couple of
other featurettes.
G-Force is a fun
family film from Bruckheimer and
Disney that’s perfect for young
children. Kids over the age of nine
aren’t going to like this as much as
kids under that age but it’s still a
fun family romp through the world of
some very unexpected heroes.
