The Short: There are tons of great extras to check out and the feature is outstanding. They couldn’t have done a better job with a remake than they did with Clash of the Titans.

Another release in Cartoon Network’s Hall of Fame Series is Courage the Cowardly Dog: Season One. Although the DVD set is void of extras or bonus features it’s not a complete waste of time. There are 13 hilarious episodes featuring the dog that’s scared of everything, but is always brave when it matters. The first season of the show looks a lot like other first season animation shows. The animation is less advanced than how it finished, but it still looks good. The animation with Courage was crucial because it was dark- it wasn’t intimidating for little kids, but the animation is fairly creepy. The concepts thrown together for each episode are entirely unique even though the central concept is always the same. Bottom line with this set, it’s decent. It’s not great, but it’s decent. If you liked the show on Cartoon Network- you’ll like this set.
